bennymac 47 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) Hi All, In particular I'm having an issue with metadata and episode image not downloading for The 100 - Season 1, Episode 13 and not sure why this is. I've tried everything I can think of. Editing the episode metadata manually by entering the external id's doesn't work either. Usually this does the trick. I've also re downloaded a different version/file type. So no go! Thetvdb and Imdb both have metadata and or images for the episodes but they aren't downloading for some reason. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3546818/?ref_=ttep_ep13 http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=268592&seasonid=517077&id=4828430&lid=7 I'm adding other shows and episodes all the time and this only this episode doing this. looking at a section of the server log pertaining to this episode i see; 6 15:05:43.8050 Debug - App: Running TvdbEpisodeProvider for \\VEGETA\TV Shows\The 100\Season 1\The.100.S01E13.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv2014-06-16 15:05:43.8050 Debug - App: TvdbEpisodeProvider returned no metadata for \\VEGETA\TV Shows\The 100\Season 1\The.100.S01E13.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv2014-06-16 15:05:43.8050 Debug - App: Running EpisodeXmlProvider for \\VEGETA\TV Shows\The 100\Season 1\The.100.S01E13.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv2014-06-16 15:05:43.8050 Debug - App: EpisodeXmlProvider returned no metadata for \\VEGETA\TV Shows\The 100\Season 1\The.100.S01E13.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv2014-06-16 15:05:43.8050 Debug - App: Running FFProbeProvider for \\VEGETA\TV Shows\The 100\Season 1\The.100.S01E13.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv Any ideas or has anyone else had this? Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) Remove the period between The and 100. Should allow it to be identified properly. I use the auto organize feature of the server to rename my recordings properly. Edited June 16, 2014 by Wayne Luke
bennymac 47 Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) Hi Wayne, - thanks for the advice. I tried as you suggested, and refreshed. Still no go. As you can see in the screenshot, it's added an image. Still not change to the metadata though. All other episodes have show the.100 (in the filename), with no problems? Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Only thing I could think of. The exact same episode on my installation had the metadata in about 30 seconds after it was added. I don't have periods in the name and have the episode name at the end instead of download information like yours.
MrFlibbles 21 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Not sure why it helps, but I have on occasion found that refreshing the metadata at the season or show level can work when individual eps does not work. I know this will not help devs nail down the issue but it may help you particular situation.
speechles 2055 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Depends how it is searching tvdb. If it just pulls the top result, and it thinks the show is Italian since its listed first, see for yourself. http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=268592&seasonid=517077&id=4828430&lid=15 there is a lot of details missing. http://thetvdb.com/?string=the+100&searchseriesid=&tab=listseries&function=Search notice Italian is on top. Are you Italian? I also noticed your installation is a mish-mosh of metadata on the media drive and the OS drive. This may also be causing it. @@Luke what priority for languages is used when multiple languages exist for a tv-series? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk Edited June 17, 2014 by speechles
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 The system always pulls English for me. I would guess that it has to do with the language priorities set for the user. Same episode as above and the system had no problems identifying it. However my names are inline with the naming recommendations in the Wiki. That particular episode is named "The 100.S01E13.We Are Grounders - Part II.mkv".
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 You can try creating an account on thetvdb.com and signing in. You can set your language preference on that site as well. If their API reads the cookies, that can help provide better matches.
bennymac 47 Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) Ok i still have the problem and it's quite baffling. I've tried refreshing at the Season level, show level, still no go. I've manually set the metadata manager to fetch "English language" in the drop-down menu for the show and forced a refresh. @Nope my language is set to english in MB. Also, what do you mean my install is a mish-mosh of metadata on the media drive and the OS drive? I haven't had a problem before, but i'm keen to fix it if you think it's wrong? I see what you mean about the language on thetvdb showing Italian and i have no idea why it's doing that but i'd imagine since my language is english it would pull the english data from the website, which is fully populated with info. @ I changed the file name of the show to include the episode name like you suggest and it hasn't made a difference. Does anyone know why the server logs specifically says "Ignoring change to XXXXX" why would it be doing that? Thanks again for you help! Edited June 18, 2014 by bennymac

Locally on the OS drive running the server? This is a mish-mosh. Not necessarily a bad thing, just pointing it out. You enabled [x] save metadata to media drive. But before this you hadn't. This may be causing your problem as the metadata on the OS drive will take priority. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Episode 13 isn't bringing in metadata and the JPG is in the wrong folder - like you mentioned.
