codyg 0 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 I'm as about as computer illiterate as they come and I've been having the Playback Error pop up on everything I try to play on my laptop using Chrome. This has been going on for two days now and I've noticed in that time that my home page or whatever it is hasn't shown any data updates. As in the most recent content is two days old or more. I've spent a few minutes trying to locate a log as an example to include here and have been unsuccessful despite following the steps outlined in the instructions for creating a post.
codyg 0 Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 Actually not getting anything to play on my ipad either.
Luke 42085 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this. Can we please look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks !
codyg 0 Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 Thanks for getting back to me. I understand that those instructions are in plain english, but that's still where I'm stuck. I haven't been able to find a help option anywhere. I'll have to come back to this when my wife has a second to hold my hand. I'll get back to you soon I hope.
Luke 42085 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Hi, it's not actually called help. There is a logs section in the server software where you can obtain those files. Thanks.
codyg 0 Posted December 25, 2019 Author Posted December 25, 2019 So I've managed to get past that first step and am stuck on finding the Expert menu. Which as I understand is where I can access the logs from?
arche 177 Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 (edited) Quick question, do you have access to the admin dashboard (access to add users, add libraries, etc..), only asking cause it sounds like you're not the admin of the server? If you do, on the admin dashboard, you'll see a option on the left side towards the bottom that says logs. No expert menu needed. Edited December 25, 2019 by arche
codyg 0 Posted December 25, 2019 Author Posted December 25, 2019 Thanks for that last suggestion. While I still don't know what was happening, thongs seem to be sorted now and working as they should. Fingers crossed it maintains this heading. Thanks again.
Luke 42085 Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 So you were able to locate the admin section?
codyg 0 Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 No. Before I could figure that step out the issue subsided and has been working mostly like normal. Still some funky hiccups but things are at least playing now.
Luke 42085 Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Have you tried clicking the settings cog icon in the upper right?
