johoja12 4 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 When I watch something that is synced for offline playback/downloaded. I noticed the watched status doesn't get updated on the main library item until I manually set it to watched. Is that expected?
Luke 42823 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hi, it will report the watch status to the server, but not immediately, rather during the next background sync process. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Luke 42823 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 There isn't a way to check but yes that's a good idea. But whenever you play downloaded content, the next sync will be shortly after that.
johoja12 4 Posted January 22, 2020 Author Posted January 22, 2020 Hey - so I’ve been trying this and it doesn’t it seem to work and it’s definitely been through a few sync cycles. The content does not get marked watched if it was a downloaded / synced episode. It then also never deleted automatically from the iPad (set to only sync unwatched content) This is server on Mac and client is iPad.
Luke 42823 Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Hi, are you sure you watched the whole episode?
johoja12 4 Posted January 23, 2020 Author Posted January 23, 2020 Hi, are you sure you watched the whole episode? Yes - it seems if i watch shows in the 'Downloads' section they don't reflect later as watched once I'm off the airplane and connected back onto the internet. If i watch downloaded content with internet access, via the "TV Shows" section instead of the Downloads section - it works fine.
Luke 42823 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Hi there, have you tried this with the latest update to the iOS app?

joekrill 6 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I know this is a few years old, but this is still an issue. I got back from a trip a few days ago and watched a few things on the plane. It's been 3 days since I've gotten home, and it has definitely "synced" because it has downloaded new episodes during that time. For the things I watched on the plane, when I go to the episodes through the "Downloads" section on the iPad app they show as having been played. But if I go to the episodes otherwise (via TV Shows, or "Continue Watching", or whatever), they show as not played. So the played status is clearly not syncing, while other things (new episodes) are. I don't even know how to debug this sort of thing.
