QuarkSolution 5 Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 On Xbox, when you play anything with .srt subtitles, the app shows subtitles, but it also adds a weird black bar on top of which the subtitles are shown. This is an example with H265 video, in MKV container. Here is another example with H264 video in MKV container. When you choose any image format subtitles, like DVDSUB or PGSSUB, the video transcodes (no surprises there), and emby burns the subtitles. This way, Emby App on Xbox plays the video perfectly.
