mat_vieira 2 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Good Morning, I am having trouble playing videos on some devices outside my network, they start playing, and regardless of the resolution selected, the video hangs nonstop, can be direct playback or transcoding that does not play. These errors started about 10 days ago. Following logs attached, are there any errors on my server? Thanks in advance. mat_vieira 2 Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 Good morning, can anyone help me?
ebr 16195 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hi. What are the network conditions? What upload speed from your server and download speed from the app side? This sounds like a very slow network. What happens if you lower the in app quality very low?
mat_vieira 2 Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 Hi, doing a test here, the server upload speed is 30mbps and the client download speed is 50mbps. Even very isolated quality, it is stopping.
Luke 42085 Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Hi, that may indeed be the max available bandwidth, but there could be ISP throttling occurring, and it could be on either side. Have you looked into this?
mat_vieira 2 Posted December 27, 2019 Author Posted December 27, 2019 Is there any way to test this? I called the provider and they report that there are no limitations.
Luke 42085 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 From the same set of network conditions, try using the 3-dot menu from the web app to download the original media file. How fast does that go?
