AppleSeed 0 Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Hi, I use GPU transcoding dailly without problems, but with a new movie I got an error, and Emby failback on the CPU (I attach the logs). The transcoding with CPU works. (I have Emby premiere) What do you think is the cause ? Thank you
Luke 42078 Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Hi there @@AppleSeed, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. Thanks !
AppleSeed 0 Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 I will try to explain : I use gpu trancoding since 1 year without premiere (on previous version 3.x). I buy premiere, and I switch on the 4.x version (in docker). On the 4.x, I have some problems to use GPU for trancoding : the server failback on the cpu on certain movie. I attach 2 logs for the same movie, the "work" use the gpu and the other use cpu. Thanks ! ffmpeg-transcode.txt ffmpeg-transcode-work.txt
AppleSeed 0 Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Hum I not sure what you want xD I join a screen.
Luke 42078 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Are you able to play the same title in the Emby web app?
AppleSeed 0 Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) I can play with the web app, but I don't have information about gpu or cpu usage (On my screenshot) Edited January 8, 2020 by AppleSeed
Luke 42078 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 @@AppleSeed can you attach the ffmpeg log from the web app playback session? Thanks !
AppleSeed 0 Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) @@Luke I attach the log of the web app playback session. Moreover, I try with Android App, and it seems work fine with the gpu. The problems seems appear only on Kodi with the Emby plugin. ffmpeg-transcode-work.txt Edited January 12, 2020 by AppleSeed
AppleSeed 0 Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 I got more verbose log (in attach file), the trancode start with the gpu and get an error, so Emby fall back on the cpu. ffmpeg-transcode-failed.txt
Luke 42078 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Ok I'll work with @@TeamB to see if we can change it to request the subtitles just like the web app is. That should solve this. 1
