Dan33702 0 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 For the past several weeks, my brother, whom I've given access to, has unsuccessfully been unable to sign in to Emby via his Roku and Samsung TV. After clicking on his username, he just gets a spinning graphic and nothing happens. I went to his home today to witness this in person. I then tried pulling Emby up on my phone, but was also unsuccessful. Since I couldn't access it myself, I just assumed that maybe my computer may have shut off due to a power failure or something, but when I got home, it was on and I could access on my own home network. I then assumed it was my VPN, which I only recently started using. I saw a post on here that recommended unchecking the "Enable automatic port mapping" box. I tried that, called my brother and he still couldn't get in. I've even tried shutting down the VPN and going back to the previous settings, and still no luck. He used to access my server regularly, so I'm not sure what I can do to make it work for him again.

Happy2Play 9782 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Well turning of your VPN does not automatically update the WAN address reported to Emby, unless you restarted Emby. I believe updates every couple hours. If you are running a VPN you may have to enter your true WAN address in "External domain" field.
