Emby server stopped scanning movies

Hello,

I've been using Emby for many months without any problem. However, since yesterday it decided to no more scan my movies' folder and I have no idea why.

Firstly, I noticed some inconsistencies between files contained in the folder and presented in Emby. I made some changes to the directory structure and it wasn't been mirrored on Emby's DB. Then, I noticed it wouldn't grab new movies moved to the folder or remove the ones that were not contained anymore. I tried to remove and recreate the movies library and now it is completely empty since Emby won't populate it.

I was running Emby 4.3.0.30 on Ubuntu 18.04. I tried to update to 4.4.0.2 but nothing changed. It looks like log does not present anything useful.

I'm not sure what you mean by "example".

I have this movie library on a folder  X monitored by Emby for months. Recently I noticed inconsistencies between Emby's DB and the folder. For instance, a movie which I moved from X/Y to X/Z would not be updated on Emby.

I tried to start over and removed the library from Emby and created a new one target to the same folder X. Nothing happens. Emby do not grab anything contained on X, the library shows itself completely empty on Emby, and when I try to force a scan that is the text that appears in log.

Sorry, I used X, Y, and Z, because I didn't believe these were important pieces of information. I was just explaining how I noticed this malfunctioning.

X = /media/Data/Filmes
Y = /media/Data/Filmes/MCU
Z = /media/Data/Filmes/Marvel

Anyway, my current situation is that there is a movie library that I just recreated named "Filmes", pointed to /media/Data/Filmes, that does not index anything contained there. The library is completely empty.

How many Emby libraries have you created, and pointing to what folders? Have you checked the permissions on the files and folders to ensure the emby system user can access them?

I had one library with the name pointing to that folder. I removed it and created a new one with the same name.

 

I checked the permissions. All folders and files have the correct permissions to be read and write by emby's user.

Those 6 lines are the only data inserted in the embyserver log when I force a scan.
