notpiika 1 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 In certain circumstances on iPadOS 13 Safari, the navigation bar glitches out while scrolling (and in some cases, after tapping on an item), so it is not visible without a page reload. What is the best way to report this, screenshots?
notpiika 1 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 Put in wrong subforum, could this be moved to Web Client?
Luke 42077 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Hi there, can you please describe this in more detail? thanks.
notpiika 1 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 (edited) I can't test in the browser (with ff's device faking) due to the user agent not matching the regex, too lazy to modify. Will post screenshots in a bit. Edited December 12, 2019 by notpiika
notpiika 1 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 (edited) The bug is very strange. The navigation bar glithces in and out of view sometimes, forcing either a scroll up or a page refresh to get it appear normally. It can glitch when you click on an item from the home screen, or just scroll up and down. P.S. Can I get more metadata indexers for cast images? Which ones are best? @@Happy2Play Thanks! Luke 42077 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 As you scroll down we hide the top bar, and then show it when you scroll up. Does that make sense? Or are you referring to safari's top navigation bar? There's nothing we can do to control the behavior of that. It's all handled by the browser.
notpiika 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 No no, I get that lol. But I think the scroll detection is at fault here, it's really glitchy on safari, causing it to sometimes remove the top bar, or move its position up (as barely seen in the screenshots) Is there any way that could be improved?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 P.S. Can I get more metadata indexers for cast images? Which ones are best? There are only 2 (TMDB, TVDB), with no configurations for people. What other providers do you have in mind?
notpiika 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 @@Happy2Play, no clue, was just wondering, thanks. @Luke: 1. browse to webapp with iPadOS 13 Safari 2. Navigate around, scroll up and down, click in and back of items, just do normal navigation around pretty much 3. observe the top bar behaving strangely Is there any more detail I could give? This is really all the steps that I do to get this to happen.
Luke 42077 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 It seems to be ok for me on both iPhone and iPad but I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks.
notpiika 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 Possibly due to screen size then? You sure you're testing it in Safari, and not the webclip?
notpiika 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 That's very strange indeed. Any way I could help to debug possibly?
Luke 42077 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 You could make a video, or just try to describe what you mean in more detail because so far you've said glitchy and acting strangely.
notpiika 1 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 Essentially: when I click something (or scroll a bit) sometimes, the top bar moves up ever so slightly, and that's what's showed when I scroll all the way to the top (that's showed in one of the screenshots) Other times, when I scroll down, scroll up, and click something, the bar just... disappears. If I scroll up all the way, it never comes back. Clicking on anything doesn't make it come back either. Only a full page refresh makes it come back. I hope that's enough detail, if it's not, I can record a video.
