lexisdude 145 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 (edited) I have been ignoring this issue for a while; but it only seems to get worse and not better. What is happening that I can reproduce is shortly after Emby is stopped and started, the drive usage that handles my metadata goes to 100% for about 2 minutes on each refresh of the movie/shows landing page and continues doing this on every device where a refresh is initiated (ie: roku logs in to the media landing page, initiating a refresh from a web browser, connecting from an android device). When the server is stopped/started ; and for a few minutes after the request for the landing pages are snappy - approx 5-10 secs. When one goes to watch a few videos , then return to the landing page and a refresh is initiated, 2 minutes before they get the page. I have attached a clean log file in hopes that it can be identified what is causing this behavior. I have deleted much of the metadata and initiated a full library scan , tried to scan the library database for errors, and tried a compact/clean on the library database to no effect. The metadata is located on a 6Gb/sec drive, it's brand new - with no errors. Originally it was on another drive, but I wanted to make sure it was the server/structure before issuing a complaint about my experience with this. To note, no one is watching shows during this event - so the only thing that is occurring is the landing page refreshes. Any ideas? I have attached a clean embyserver log embyserver.txt Edited December 12, 2019 by lexisdude
Luke 42086 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Hi, for starters you have a number of third party plugins installed. I would remove those, then restart the server so that we can evaluate just the core server. Thanks.
lexisdude 145 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 Luke, are there any that stand out in particular? With the way that the newest builds of the server are, we have plugins incorporated in the release, and then ones that are added on the side. The whole plugin thing has became a bit confusing to me recently since I use to only add ones that I needed or felt were beneficial to users.
Luke 42086 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 I'm referring to ones you've added on the side.
