Controlling Volume - Xbox One Controller

Hey,

I have the latest Emby Theater for Windows 10 running and have an Xbox One controller connected to control it. It controls everything just fine, except for volume.

Am I missing something? I need to be able to control volume from a distance and seemingly it should be possible with the Xbox One Controller?

I'm not on an Xbox.

I'm on Windows 10, and the Xbox button on the controller does nothing.

My bad, I miss read it.

 

I don't think there are volume controls available through the xbox controller + theater natively. Though I'm not certain.

 

You could however use something like xpadder to map controller buttons to the volume up/down functions of Windows though.

I hate that it requires another program, but got Controller Companion on Steam and all is working now.

 

So thanks, still wish it was native somehow.

What button is normally used for volume with the controller?

I wouldn't expect a button bound directly to volume, but there could be a volume slider on the osd you could navigate to.

(assuming navigation of the video player osd on windows theater with a controller is similar to navigation on xbox theater, haven't actually used that combo myself)
