Max bandbidth per user

How do i properly setup max bandwidth per user? Ive configured every user with a max bandwidth cap per user.

And when looking in Settings -> Network -> Max speed for streaming outside of network, ive tried both my max upload of my bandwidth, that will result in users using lots of bandwidth, and ive tried capping it to lets say 10mbit.

But im not understanding how this setting works, is it server wide setting for total bandwidth for all users, or per user bandwidth limitation?

Hi, for any given user, if you configure, it would first use the server limit. Then if you've applied a limit per user, that value would override it. Does this answer your question?

So the server setting is per user too? But if configuring a user that setting will override it?

I guess that answers it, but the server setting is per user or for all users combined?

One of my users was using 49mbit/s when i was forcing 10mbit/s on that account, server setting was set at 100mbit/s.

I have set 18 Mbps as limit in the network settings.

Nevertheless, a user is currently being shown a medium with 38.6 Mbps via WAN. (under active devices)

This should be limited by the global setting!?

(The limit field in the user settings is empty)

What server version?  Can you post the ffmpeg log.

Unfortunately I do not know in which of the many log files the situation was.
Therefore I will keep watching it and if this happens again I will post the file.

Until then, thanks a lot.
