heimer 11 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Hi, With 71.0 comes a new picture in picture feature for Windows 10. I can see the small blue icon on the right hand side, I can hover it and the text reveals nothing happens when I press it. Here's mozilla's blog post about it: https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2019/12/03/news-from-firefox-on-mobile-private-network-and-desktop/#PiP 1
ebr 16184 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Hi. Not really saying yes or no to this specific request but, in a multi-tab/window environment like a browser, what is the advantage to PiP? Can't you just drag your video tab to somewhere off to the side and then go on with whatever in another tab/window?

The PiP in chrome works really well, I sometimes choose to open up chrome just for that even though I would so much more prefer firefox. It's easy to resize and move around.

Just to be clear. What I wish is Firefox's PiP support for the Web Player. Firefox introduced PiP support for windows in version 71.0 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/71.0/releasenotes/

Luke 42079 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 I have firefox 72 beta which i use for testing purposes and the blue button is working just fine for me. It's pretty much exactly the same as in Chrome, except in Chrome the button is part of our OSD.
