Shubamdeepsingh 0 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Hi guys, I am new the Emby. I have been a long time plex user. I would say about 6 years now. I have been working with emby for a day now and I have movies, kids movies, tv shows on a drive. I got the kids movies and tv shows loaded but I can't get the movies to scan. I have tried creating a new a library. I have tried to delete it and re-do it. Still NOTHING. I even tried to move stuff to another folder but nothing. Everything is on a G: drive. It should work just fine. All the paths are same. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. But, I am paying for the services. I believe it's worth paying if I can get it work and support the developers. But, I don't see a contact them option so I am posting on the forum to see if anyone can help. I mean plex is not bad but the first video I played, that I had issues with on plex, worked like a charm on there so I can only assume that this will be amazing but I just need it to work. P.S: I have tried to scan all libraries and it keeps doing the TV shows, not the kids movies either. I have tried individual scans as well and it keeps going to TV shows.

What do you mean all the paths are the same? Can you go over the folders added to each library.

Everything is in G: Drive with a root folder "Plex" It goes like this G: Plex > Movies Plex > Tv Shows I'm using the same drive for Plex and everything is loading just fine. The read and write access the same for Plex and emby. I just cancelled my membership because I'm not sure if the time or resources are even worth it anymore. But honestly the very first day, it was great.

I have noticed that the "Scan library" is on the TV shows only and at 95% for almost a day now. As you can see the root folders are on the same drive. They are then categorized in separate folders to differentiate. I really liked using it the very first day, all I got working was TV shows but I was very impressed. I would like to get this issue resolved so I can continue using it. I hope the attachments I've added were viewable. First time using this forum so. Edited December 7, 2019 by Shubamdeepsingh
ebr 16199 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Hi. Any reason you created two different libraries for "movies" and "hd movies" but then gave the two libraries the exact same name? (Movies)
