ulrick65 30 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 When I rebuilt my media server last, I had it download subtitles for my media. I set it up to download to the Media Folder, but I did not realize (soon enough) that it was downloading these into the Metadata folder because Emby did not have write access to my media folders. So now I have a LOT of subtitles stored in the metadata folder in the cryptic folder structure. I am wondering is anyone has a good way to get these moved into the proper media location they belong. I don't think Emby has a way to do it itself (if so, would love to know!). I was thinking maybe writing a script to do it by filename, but since I have several locations for my movies and tv shows, that might be a chore. I was thinking maybe someone has done this already? If not, any thoughts on how to do it? Thanks.
Luke 42085 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Hi, yea unfortunately there's no easy way to move them. Best i can think of is due a recursive delete of .srt files from the metadata folder, then run a library scan followed by the subtitle download scheduled task.

I figured that might be the easiest...hate to have it redownload thousands of subtitles...but probably easier then me taking the time to write a script to do it.
