Videos with long file names don't play

I didn't know where to post this so decided to post it here.  I have found files with file names longer than what windows allows will not play on emby.  If say a file is extracted that has a long file name windows will allow it to exist.  Emby will even find the file.  However, when it goes to play it from any player it errors out.  I can play the file just fine from say VLC, but Emby can't do it.  I don't know if there is a work around for this or not.  I have tv shows though with long title names and then if it has a long episode name we are just in trouble.
