manatails 2 Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 This points to it being related to .net upgrades within our product. So, be sure you have the latest .Net installed. I know the IPv6 problem is likely a .Net issue introduced in one of their upgrades. Isn't Emby based on C#? My understanding of the C# .NET is that the executable is supposed to use the specific version of .NET framework that it is built with. Not the newest version it can find. Nonetheless I tried repairing existing .NET framework, it didn't make a change. Try disabling ipv6 in your router. My network is IPv4 only, and I already tried disabling IPv6 support from all interfaces.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 But every server update is moving forward. As 4.3.0.30 used .NET Core 3.0, and server 4.4.0.0 has moved to 3.1. Build Windows & MacOS with .NET Core 3.0 But as mentioned this issues would appear to be specific to the machine hosting Emby. My WHS 2011 is based on Server 2008 R2 and I do not have this issue.
manatails 2 Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 I reinstalled the OS and it is working fine now. I still don't understand what possibly could have caused this problem though.
