Folder Sync and Downloading Photos to Device

Just purchased Emby premiere after using for the past couple of years, thanks again for the continued support on this great product!

Just a couple of (hopefully) easy questions which I'm stuck on at the moment.

Id like to use folder sync to sync media to other drives, but im stuck on how to get this working after looking at the wiki page

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Folder-Sync

"To install folder sync, open the Emby Server Dashboard and navigate to Sync -> Services."

This does not seem to exist on the latest version of Emby Server (4.3.0.30)

I can see the wiki hasnt been updated for a few years, so im guessing maybe this option is hidden somewhere that I can't seem to find.

Another question - Ive got a "Home Videos & Photos" library which consists of different travel photos organized in folders e.g Africa 2019, USA 2018 etc etc. I'd like to be able to download these files/folders to my different android devices for offline access, but whenever I click on "Download to" or "Download" from either the web interface or within the android app itself, it seems to just get stuck and never actually download. I can see it says "Ready to Transfer" but doesnt seem to progress past this.

Is there something I need to do to manually initiate the transfer?

Thanks for any help with this!

OK - found folder sync! For anyone else who might need it.

Manage Emby Server -> Plugins -> Catalog -> Scroll right down to the bottom and install Folder Sync plugin

Still struggling on getting the photos to download though. Videos from my other libraries seem to download fine to my android device, but as soon as i try to download the photos it just pauses as "ready to transfer" (and nothing else queued up after that will work either once stuck)

Hi, we'll take a look at this with photos, but to be honest up until now this feature has been primarily targeting video and audio. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, if this is the end goal then you should just use the download feature inside the android app itself.

it still gets stuck even when initiating it from within the android app as well - just hangs on "ready to transfer" and does not progress past that.

Using the android app I also tried to download a video (*.mp4) from within the same library, and that downloads fine. So the problem only seems to be when trying to download actual photos (*.jpg).

I also did a test just with the web interface and downloaded my photos to a folder location I set up on my NAS, and that works fine, so it seems to be something with the actual android app and photos.

Ok we'll do some additional testing with downloading photos, but that is the procedure you should follow. Thanks.
