Emby Premiere Support/Price

Can anyone tell me why Emby thinks it's acceptable to charge for "Premiere Service" yet doesn't provide customer support? Instead they leave it up to the community to assist in helping. Unless I'm missing something that doesn't seem right. I wasn't able to find any information on this subject which is troubling. Even if the foundation of the program is personal media there should still be an option to live chat with a representative of the company when seeking assistance.

Hi.  I think if you look in this forum, you will see very active response on all issues from members of the Emby team.  In fact, you are going to get to interact with actual developers instead of a chatbot or CSR with a script.  I think if you give us a chance, you'll see we have pretty good support .

well I’m not anything to do with emby but I can see the response would be something like would you be happy to pay double or treble for that 1 on 1 service or are you happy to pay at the current price point and accept (what I still think overall) the already largely great support from the community and devs via this forum?

 

I’m sure if you really wanted you could find some third parties that would support you for an extra fee

There are a couple of reasons to purchase Emby Premier but none of them have anything to do with support.

 

You purchase Premier to unlock the features that require Premier for operation also you purchase Emby Premier to support the development of Emby.

 

The second reason is the best reason for purchasing Emby Premier.

Perhaps you're not aware that the two people that responded to your ONE other post at the end of November ARE the developers that you are paying with your Premiere price.

Hi there how can I get southa African movies and TV shows and load them to emby server.  I have zero content on my hard drive

Emby does not provide any content. Emby is a server to manage your own media.
