Is it ok to use my iTunes App Store credit plus my credit card to buy Emby Premiere Lifetime?

I am not 100% sure if I am getting it yet because there is still a few things I still miss from Plex.

Just out of curiosity, what do you miss from Plex that you don't have in Emby?

 

Tautulli, mainly some screenshots on custom home videos being nicer looking on Plex on the main GUI, oh yeah the Android mobile app too not as good as Plex.

It would buffer a lot and skip video for my family member.

That is usually a matter of the bitrate being a little too high, in which case lowering the in-app quality setting should do the trick.

Hi.  To answer your original question, as you found out, no we don't offer the Lifetime in the app store. There are a couple of reasons for this.  One, we'd have to bump the price by 30% to account for the huge chunk Apple takes and two, when you purchase from the app store you aren't purchasing from us - you are purchasing from Apple and that takes away all control of the transaction for us.  That makes it very hard to properly support folks and puts us at too much risk as well.
