MindBullet 93 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Hey guys, back at Emby from Plex - yay!As the title says I'm not able to retrieve Season/Tv show posters from The TVDB. TVDB is selected for everything in the library as metadata fetcher, but for any show the posters are shown only from TMDB, if at all. I even lowered the minimum resolution to 520 in the fetcher settings, still no TVDB posters unfortunately.I've attached a freshly rotated log prior to starting a metadata refresh all for a show and a screenshot to underline what I mean. If anybody could point me to the right direction = Greatly appreciated.Have a great day/night Oh and the show in this example is "The Devil May Cry" which has posters on both, TVDB and TMDB embyserver.txt Edited November 28, 2019 by MindBullet
MindBullet 93 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 TV show info (text) is loading fine from TVDB/TMDB though. Does this have to do with the API V3 update of TVDB?

I have not noticed a issue with Series posters though, only Season posters. But your example for "The Devil May Cry", I don't see it on TVDB or TMDB and nothing about it in the attached log. I
Happy2Play 9784 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Okay there is no "The Devil May Cry", it is "Devil May Cry". Doesn't look like there is a poster issue to me, but I only tested Identify. Edited November 28, 2019 by Happy2Play
Happy2Play 9784 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Moved from testing area as this is a stable release.
MindBullet 93 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Hey guys! Thanks for hoppin' in!You're right! It's "Devil May Cry" without "The", but I only get this (See attached screenshot). For the logs I only did a refresh metadata event, didn't check whether it's in the logs :/ Is there anything I can do to help you comprehend the issue? As I said I lowered the minimum resolution of posters to 520px, as I thought this might be the culprit and all 3 metadata fetchers are active (1st TVDB, 2nd TMDB, 3rd Fanart), but still it doesn't retrieve anything. It's not only for Devil May Cry, but for all TV shows - no TVDB metadata showing up, except for the series description. And mb again. I thought 4.3.0.30 was beta hehe, sawy. EDIT: And there's no TV Show data (Series posters) from either of the metadata services, no TVDB, no TMDB, nor fanart.tv. Edited November 28, 2019 by MindBullet
MindBullet 93 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Hold up. It's doing a full refresh and it seems like there's something happening Will report what the outcome was!
MindBullet 93 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) No, nothing. I did switch off everything but The TVDB, but I don't receive anything at all with this as the only option. I did a "Refresh all metadata" with "Replace all images" checked. Every series which was scanned didn't have any picture at all.I think you can see in the logs, that it's not downloading anything from The TVDB except for ... banners? I've attached the log. I've no idea... embyserver-63710585295.txt Edited November 28, 2019 by MindBullet
MindBullet 93 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 As from what I've found it seems to be something wrong with other languages than English. Metadata is not loaded in general, but if the German title of the show doesn't match the english one, everything is broken and no metadata is loaded at all

MindBullet 93 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 Godammnit!Okay. As it seems to be a TVDB issue I will just be patient until it's fixed and stay with a couple of unmatched series and the movie DB as a fetcher, no biggie. Thank you anyways for your help Happy <3
