iD7eeM 1 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Hello, I've been using emby for almost a year now, and since then everything was working great! But about a month ago, issues started to appear, especially on the PS4 platform (on any other platform it works fine). When I play any media in the PS4 platform (which has an Arabic ASS subtitle file), the media starts to loop for 3-4 times then I get the playback error message "No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details". As I stated before, it used to work perfectly with no issues, and I didn't change anything! It's weird because some of media I watched them myself like 3-4 months ago and they were working just fine! So I don't honestly know what is causing it. I tried removing the ASS subtitle files and media started working again! So technically the cause of this issue is the ASS file, but why? Since it used to work with no problems! I need you guys to help me find a solution in order to be able to watch my content with Arabic ASS files. I use the ASS files to have subtitle with custom Arabic font that I like, and also to have subtitles in larger size. Another issue is whenever I play a "movie" that has black bars in the PS4 platform, the video gets stretched and it's honestly unwatchable emby server version: 4.3.0.30 I attached the server log just in case you need it. embyserver.txt I'm waiting for your help. Thanks in advance! Edited November 28, 2019 by iD7eeM
Luke 42083 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Hi there, how does the web app compare on a computer or smart phone?
iD7eeM 1 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Hi there, how does the web app compare on a computer or smart phone? You mean connecting to https://tv.emby.media/ using the computer or phone? If that's what you mean then I can't connect to it.
Luke 42083 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Use the http version: http://tv.emby.media You won't be able to use the https version unless you have ssl setup on your server.

I tried it on the computer and it works, but on the smart phone, I can connect to the server but there is no option to play. So the problem is only if I try to play something in the PS4
Luke 42083 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 What do you mean no option to play? There's a big play button in the middle of the screen after you click on the video.

Luke 42083 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 What happens when you try to play on the smart phone?
iD7eeM 1 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 What happens when you try to play on the smart phone? I can't even try, see for yourself.
Luke 42083 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 OK that's strange. Can you try turning to landscape orientation?
iD7eeM 1 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 OK that's strange. Can you try turning to landscape orientation? Ok, the play button appeared when turning to landscape, so the web app works on the computer & smart phone just fine but what about the PS4? I need a fix for that!
Luke 42083 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Can you zip up the .ass file and provide a copy of it here? thanks.
iD7eeM 1 Posted December 1, 2019 Author Posted December 1, 2019 Can you zip up the .ass file and provide a copy of it here? thanks. The problem isn't with just 1 ASS file, but sure. Here's an example of an ASS file for The Walking Dead: https://transfernow.net/b1k0q3s0xy7n I couldn't attach it.
Luke 42083 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 @@iD7eeM can you please zip it up and attach it here? The forum will allow you to attach zip files. thanks. @@Abobader
