IPTV channels xml editation SYNOLOGY

Hi,

i have read here that I should be able to edit IPTV plugin channels through the file MediaBrowser.Channels.IPTV.xml located in /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/var/plugins/configurations however when i edit the file (emby stopped) and i start emby server, it wont update channels. In webUI i have still the same channels as before and plugin configuration is empty even with editted file. The file is alright. I have checked it by creating 2 channels in webUI and editing the name of one in xml.

Do you have any idea how to use this approach?

Thanks.

Hi, no, this isn't true. The iptv plugin is not related to the Live TV m3u feature. The iptv plugin is just for importing single streams at a time, not for channel listings and epg data. You can learn how to setup Live TV on our wiki:

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Live-TV

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Well Luke, in this thread you said it is possible:

"IPTV Plugin Add Channels in mass"

I am not looking for LiveTV and m3u feature.

I am looking for editting bookmarks/channels in IPTV plugin.

Same as was the guy in the thread.

I was restarted and shutdown the server but nothing worked.

Ok then for single streams yes it's possible. If you edit the file manually you'll need to run the refresh internet channels scheduled task.

No need. I have just found out the cause of this issue.

I am from Czech Republic and one of channels has name "Šlágr TV"

When i rename it to "Slagr TV" it works.

So i think Emby has problem with diacritics.

Without diacritics it works just fine but when i update the file with following code it will show empty/no bookmarks:

  <Bookmark>
      <Name>Šlágr TV</Name>
      <Image />
      <Path>udp://@239.250.1.181:1234</Path>
      <Protocol>Rtsp</Protocol>
      <UserId>62767dab3bff44febd4b49ea222ee318</UserId>
    </Bookmark>

Ok, even this problem i have solved...

I just needed to add a new bookmark through IPTV plugin settings.

This updated all the bookmarks in IPTV UI.

Now I can see everything. :)
