computerprep 148 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) I keep only a few television series in 1080p + 2160p formats simultaneously. Personally, I keep them in the same library, albeit different folders. And Emby merges the results so I can see one episode with multiple streaming formats. Works great. Until I go to download them or set a series-level sync. At first, I wasn't sure how it would handle the multiple resolutions. I set my series sync to auto download all episodes in original quality regardless of watched flag. And it appears to have downloaded them all in 1080p only. A selector to "mask" only episodes of certain resolution would be nice. I know this could be a rabbit hole of personalized download settings, but there are times I would want the 4k version downloaded, and I don't think there a way for me to do that. Without adding the 4k version to a separate library of course. Or splitting the versions apart, which I really don't want to do. I can see this living as a "maximum resolution" drop down set at the time of sync. Edited November 26, 2019 by computerprep
computerprep 148 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Not with this example. Specified initial quality, and it only downloaded 1080p versions of each episode despite both versions being available
Luke 42085 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Why didn't you specify a quality? I would try doing that.
computerprep 148 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Testing now with a quality setting of 30Mbps, higher than the 4k versions.
computerprep 148 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 I assumed "original quality" setting would not exclude the 4k version. Settings described above began a download the same size as the 4k version file.
