Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Hi, Recently installed the latest november windows update for windows 10 and it appears to have broken media streaming to my TV. After trying a few things I decided on a clean format of Windows 10 to see if that resolves the issue, it didnt. Some details: Running Emby server 4.3.0.26 Streaming works fine on PC, no issues. Media is stored on seperate HDD's all the films were re-encoded to match the same format (mp4) unless they were already Mp4's. Prior to windows update no issues with playback of any file on TV. (tv model: Ue40JU6000) After update, 90% of content will not playback instead hanging at the loading screen for a long while until it moves to a movie it can playback. When playback is started fast forward/rewind/play pause controls are unavailable. Also the sound goes out of synch after a while. Both log files are attached. In this example attempted to play a film that dosnt work after update. After hangign awhile it switcehd to content that does (The Abyss) however has the issues mentioned above. All was fine until the latest windows update was installed. Any suggestions please? embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-f514b936-0ab6-4c66-8411-cf039e2a00e9_1.txt
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Hi there, are you using the Emby Samsung app on the TV? If so, what version?
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Hi Luke, No, i'm directly connecting to it through the source list.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Also, its worth noting that after the reformat I reinstaleld all window supdates including the November one.
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 That particular file is transcoding due to the framerate. Perhaps it was direct playing before? Can we look at an alternative example? Thanks.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Hi, i'm not that technically minded when it comes to this stuff, but because I had some old media files I re-enocded pretty much the entire collection using Handbrake into the follwoing format: MP4, PAR 1x1 30FPS PFR AAC Video Codec H.264 (x264) Those files will not playback at all, in fact the logs above show an attempt to play back 7 different titles prior to the Abyss. It seems direct play isnt working at all for some reason. I'm trying to find the next file that will playback.
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Can we look at another ffmpeg log from a file that is failing? thanks.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Okay, I ahve an epiose of a tv show that dosnt appear to be transcoding. It has the same issues, should I post the log as text here?
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Okay, it dosnt seem to want to let me post the whole log, so should I try the second half of it? or is there a way to attach it?
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Okay heres the log: http://www.sgecology.co.uk/transfer/embyserver.txt
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 That file isnt transcoding because the log for the tranmscode wasnt updated when it started playing back, if you want an example of somehting that dosnt work i'll erase the logs, retsart the server, try and play one back, stop it before it goes to a successful video and post the log instead.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Alright,. server closed, logs deleted. Server started, navigated to video, attempted to play, aborted after 10 seconds of loading. Okay heres the log: http://www.sgecology.../embyserver.txt
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Sorry my bad, refresh it again now. Put it in the wrong webd irectory, now its correct.(46kb) Edited November 25, 2019 by Steelblade
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Do you have any other mp4's you can try that weren't created by handbrake?
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 YEs, probably i';ll take a look.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Yes, I can confirm that videos (Mp4's) not created by handbrake do playback, but with dsynched sound and no ability to fastforward, rewind of pause. I also note there are no transcoding logs for the two I just tried. Yopu want the log for that too? Edited November 25, 2019 by Steelblade
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 can you provide a sample mp4 for testing? thanks.
Steelblade 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 A handbrake one or a non-handbraked one?
