maybe one of you can help me out. I'm looking for a way to list movies in my library which have 5 or more genres as these are too much in my opinion.

Related question @@Luke :

Those genre plentifulness comes from themoviedb scraper, imdb/omdb assings less genres to a movie on average. That's the reason why I'd like to use omdb as my primary scraper. Unfortunately I can't do this because imdb/omdb only offers English plot description. Even though I selected German as my preferred metadata language, Emby uses the English plot from omdb instead of jumping to the secondary (themoviedb) scraper and fetch the German plot from there.

Any chance to change this?

Best regards

thanks @@TeamB

but this doesn't help me out here. I don't want to remove or rename specific genre names, I just want my movies to have less genres. So I want to get a list of all my movies with more than x genres assigned. Afterwards I'll look at each movie and decide which genres to keep.

I was asking you because i remembered some database query field in one of your server plugins. Can't remember what exactly it was.

We don't have any filters like that at this time.

The second part of my question was mainly addressed to you @@Luke

Check your preferred metadata provider order.

the SQL query feature is for the Playback Reporting plugin and is only for playback activity data, you can not query media items with it.

The problem is that I need the plot/overview field to be German. This doesn’t seem to be possible if omdb scraper is set at first (although preferred metadata language is set to German, which is available at themoviedb)

We don't have any options for that but it's possible for the future. There is an existing feature request about it that you can contribute to.
