chef 3810 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 (edited) This issue is still happening, and it's crazy. The Devices tab in emby is so full of versions of Chrome that the Web app hangs. In fact it hangs so long that chrome ask me if I want to quit. Trying to remove devices takes three clicks, and a confirmation! There are so many in the database that it would take forever to clear. Then it would just fill up again. This has got to be a strain on the database, and I'm almost positive that Emby would run much faster without all these needless entries in there. Something has to be done! It's crazy guys com'on. We need to clear the devices tab. Edited November 23, 2019 by chef
Luke 42077 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Yes it needs virtual scrolling, like other areas. Thanks.
arrbee99 1815 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 IMHO it doesn't need virtual scrolling, its needs mass deletion, or delete if more than a week old, or delete every chrome entry, or...
Luke 42077 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Well it needs both, but every list in the system needs virtual scrolling.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Yes I would think a auto delete after x days.
Luke 42077 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 That will cause users on those devices to be logged out.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Okay then None active devices. Emby tracks activity correct? Just like browser devices are still there for every server version.
arrbee99 1815 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Well, just having a browse through, mine lists, among others 'Chrome, Emby Web 4.3.0.24, Family, 1 Day Ago', '...2 Days Ago', '...3 Days Ago', '...4 Days Ago', '...5 Days Ago', '...5 Days Ago', '...1 Week Ago', '...1 Week Ago', '...2 Weeks Ago', '...2 Weeks Ago', '...2 Weeks Ago', '...2 Weeks Ago'. Plus 7 Firefox entries, 1 Second ago, 15 Hours ago... so hopefully...
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 To me if a device has not been used in over a week they deserve to logged of. 1
chef 3810 Posted November 23, 2019 Author Posted November 23, 2019 If it takes a confirmation to delete, i'd rather confirm to save a device and remove all others. Or at least auto remove anything browser based. Even just devices with major browser names (chrome, edge, etc)
