STRM files for guest library

I've been playing around with strm files to add content from my local media to a "guest" library. This way I can add/remove, rotate and/or place temporary content for short term playback in a local library that's isolated from the rest of my media without moving the actual files while still being hosted on my server.

 

My question: Has someone created a plug-in that would make this an easy click-n-pick operation from the Emby UI? In concept it would be similar to Collections and Playlists but at a library level.

 

I'm being lazy and thought it would also work well for my other users who don't have access to the back-end.
