Add watcher to IPTV m3u && EPG XML, please :)

The ingestion of these two is by default (on my installation) to run daily @ 0200 hr. I ended up deleting this and created one based on a 45 min interval. I have a cron job that runs once an hour to pull both down from my source. Could a change watcher functionality be added so when a change in physical size (or whatever measurable criteria) happens then an import for both is initiated. Given the specific granularity, I have to MacGuyver things to create enough of a time gap between disparate tasks.

 

I believe the libraries already have this functionality now that I think about it

Yes, but there's not a lot of granularity in the triggers. Could that be improved to do what I'm trying to do?
