tiking 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Hello, I'm running the latest Emby server on my Windows computer. I have my main user but I created another user. This new user can see the tv shows but can't select individual episode. But the main user can see them correctly. I searched to see if there is option for that for the new user but found nothing. I don't know if anybody ran into the same problem as me. Regards Sebastien
NoUserName 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Any chance that user has a ratings\age filter set? I've seen that behavior with my younger users.
tiking 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 The problem seem to come if I create a library with the content of a subfolder of the main library. If I give access to the complete main library, the user can see individual episodes for each Show. But If I create a library of only a subfolder (to share only one show for that user), the user won't be able to see individual episodes. But the user is able to watch all the episodes by clicking on the main play button for that show. He can't just not see individual tumbnails for each individual episodes. Everything is configured the same for the main library and for the library that contain only the subfolder for a particular show.

tiking 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 Oh ok, so If I want to share only one show for a particular user I would need to copy that show in another folder that is not included in the main library ? I'll try that.
Solution ebr 16214 Posted November 18, 2019 Solution Posted November 18, 2019 I wouldn't copy it. You could use parental control via tags or you could organize the physical folders like: TvShows\everyone TvShows\allison TvShows\Bill Then point the library to those three individual folders and assign rights to each user accordingly. 1
tiking 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 I'll go with the folder way, It make sense Thanks again for the hints Sebastien
