Have a question on the new Nvidia shield tube. When I tune to a channel it doesn't direct tune channels when set that way. My fire stick does direct tune. Is it the new Nvidia shield doing this?

Yes it's enabled on new shield tube. Fire stick is fine.

Hi.  Could be the way it is connected and it needs to convert audio.  We'd have to look at an example to be sure.  Was an ffmpeg log produced?

I cannot see why this is remuxing.  One odd thing I do see is your device is reporting no support for any audio codecs and only stereo.  How is the device connected and to what?

 

Have you tried restarting the device while the outboard equipment is also powered on?

Hooked up via HDMI to TV. Only the new Nvidia shield tube experience the problem of no direct tune.

Try restarting the device while the TV is powered on.

 

If the device powers up before the TV (ever) then it may get no audio capability information from the HDMI connection.

Same issue. Tried restarting leaving TV on won't stream live.
