mattykellyuk 18 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Hi I'm sorry I'm sure there is loads of threads like this but I'm pretty experienced and can't figure out why this one tv is transcoding everything , even with 12mb download and 16ms pin. I have attached a transcoding log and any help would be greatly appreciated. ffmpeg-transcode-4f1b29fe-7c8d-4069-8ccf-24d493508d5c_1.txt
Luke 42083 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Hi there, did you explore the server dashboard during playback to learn why it was transcoding?
Luke 42083 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Or did you check inside the video player? The stats for nerds feature will also tell you why.
mattykellyuk 18 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 Yeah sorry should have said. 'media bitrate exceeds limit' I have set the user to unlimited and video in under 2000 kbps.
Luke 42083 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Looks like there's still a limit being applied somewhere. Check the global streaming limit in advanced server settings, as well as having the user check the in-app quality setting.
mattykellyuk 18 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 So i told the user to manually change settings to 5mbps and it's direct playing. So the auto isn't working. Can't see the global streaming limit. Can u advise where that is? Thanks.

Luke 42083 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 So i told the user to manually change settings to 5mbps and it's direct playing. Auto will generally be conservative. If it's not providing a high enough value to your liking, that's why we have the manual control.
mattykellyuk 18 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 Under Advanced, or if you're using the online web app, it's under Network now. Thanks didn't know that was there. It was blank by the way.
