adding a folder with 30k photos to library

hello!

 

im about to add some folder with 30k photos sorted in subfolder to library. 

 

I already add folder with 6k photos in subfolders to other library, and im waiting quite some time for library to scan - it is stucked at magical 86,5%. A will leave it a few days, will see what will happen...

 

But to add 30k photos it would take 1 week to scan or what? Can i somehow fasten up this scan?

 

what about timeline? is it in your future plan?

i have had 500k of photos in Emby

 

Initial Library scan took about 16hrs

 

Server is an older i7 cpu

 

Things that will affect scan time with photos - speed of cpu to process the images and their size - and some things with emby a single thread which will limit the speed that can be reached

 

above approx 85% is where the processing starts of new/changed content

 

I would be patient and just let it run - you are likely to only do this once

Wow, with 500k of photos, you must have a lot of kids and grandkids.
