Chromecast Subtitles pushed up

Hi!

Yesterday I noticed that subtitles (SRT) on Chromecast are displayed higher then they were before. They are not really on the bottom anymore - you could place at least two more lines of subtitle (on normal font size) below the ones which are displayed.

A few days ago, this definitely wasn't the case - something seems to have changed. I didn't update the emby-server, so it may be related to a chromecast or an app update? When I cast youtube videos for example, the subs are still at the bottom of the screen.

It happens when I cast from the browser, and also from the mobiel app (android). The Chromecast is a chromecast ultra.

Hi, how far up are they?

Attached the image. For some reason it seems to be upside down, but you get the idea..

So you're saying you want them hugging the bottom?

Well, that would make sense, would it not? They are hugging the bottom when I play them in Kodi, they are hugging the bottom when I play VOB_SUB or PSG on Chromecast ,and they were hugging the bottom in chromecast when I played SRT until recently. But now, they are way higher when playing SRT on Chromecast. It's pretty distracting if you have text floating over the face of the actors in many shots. Or when you have black bars on a movie, and the subtitles are not in the black area, but above it.

I understand there's a tradeoff between people complaining that their subtitles are being cut off, and people complaining that they are too high. But the reason why I'm even bringing this up is, that the SRT subtitles were placed perfectly already until recently. Something must have changed - I don't know if in emby, or chromecast, or in both.

PS: I already did a factory reset on my chromecast, which didn't change anything. Also switched to the beta version of the app, which also didn't help.

I'm seeing this as well. The subtitles are displayed way too high in my opinion.

Ok I've pushed an update to our chromecast receiver to resolve this. Thanks.
