vwman18 1 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 My daughter has a user login that she hasn't used in a while, so I removed the password for her user via the button in the server dashboard. When trying to input a new password, I'm met with "HeaderLoginFailure Invalid username or password. Please try again." I even tried creating a new account with no password and get the same error. When she tries to login to either of those account, it just tells her the user name or password is wrong. I've tried to complete the password reset using both the localhost address and the remote access web address, and on multiple devices within my home. I do not use Emby Connect for any of the local users. The Emby server is hosted on a Windows machine, and is currently up to date. I'm running the latest stable version. I'm not sure what I've done wrong. This did work in the past on this installation, but it has been quite some time since I've had to bother with a password reset.
Happy2Play 9792 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) To me it would appear you have set Parental controls for schedules access for the user. 2019-11-09 10:04:37.627 Warn HttpServer: AUTH-ERROR: 192.168.0.127 - User is not allowed access at this time. 2019-11-09 10:04:37.627 Error HttpServer: User is not allowed access at this time. Tested this I would agree the popup notice does need to be adjust to this restriction. Edited November 9, 2019 by Happy2Play
Luke 42099 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 With the upcoming 4.3 release, that parental control feature will no longer be enforced at login, but only at the time of playback. But yes, it looks like you configured that feature and then forgot about it.
Solution vwman18 1 Posted November 11, 2019 Author Solution Posted November 11, 2019 Thank you folks, that was the exact issue. I had set time restrictions on her user, and added those same restrictions to the new account I created in trying to get around this. When I removed the restrictions, I was able to fix the password. 100% user error, and thank you for pointing me in the right direction. 1
