Dizzy49 99 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) Sometime yesterday none of the shows/episodes are recognized when using Auto Organize. It looks like it will replace ones that are already there. When I try to manually assign the show I either get Error: NULL, or it just does nothing. I know this happened a bit ago, I think it was due to changes in the API or something. Is it happening again? This is a HUGE feature for me, I need this working again ASAP. vdatanet 1617 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) I think thetvdb is not working. Go to https://www.thetvdb.com/, search for a Show and it fails. At least for me. MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Connection to https://www.thetvdb.com/api/B89CE93890E9419B/series/359874/all/es.zip timed out ---> System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException: The operation was canceled. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: Operation canceled. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Operation canceled Edited November 9, 2019 by vdatanet

Happy2Play 9782 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Yes there were issues reported on their forum. There isn't anything Emby can do when they have issues. That is one reason there are more then one TV providers.
Dizzy49 99 Posted November 9, 2019 Author Posted November 9, 2019 Maybe a status indicator in the Auto Organize, or SOMETHING to indicate that tvdb is down would be nice. I can also confirm that all of the episodes have been organized.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 If I had to guess, I would say it is more of a timing issues as everyone hitting tvdb at the same time for the same information. I know I see this/similar issues with Media Center Master around the same time lately. Or should I say since TVDB has started their v3 changes.
b0mb 36 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I´ve had the same problem today in the morning with the series 4 blocks. Last week i´ve added S03E01 successfully but today when trying to add S03E02 i´ve got "ERROR NULL" and the log says "no metadata found". i´ve checked the tvdb site and the data was available. I´m going to give it another try toay in the evening....
darkassassin07 652 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I've noticed a shift in how thetvdb website looks between yesterday and today, at least on mobile. That may have something to do with it. Maybe they are still implementing more changes that effect metadata retrieval?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Yep v3 went live 11/14/19. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79269-fyi-tvdb-api-issues/ 1
Zodler 18 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 With the new tvdb site up, Emby Server is not getting episode information anymore, is that normal?
