Warlan 1 Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Is this possible in Windows? I have a Win 8 machine running Emby Server that has a shared drive of the Recorded TV and on another Win10 machine I have Emby Server running with Real Time Monitoring enabled of that shared drive. The Win 10 machine sees the content fine but not in 'real time'. I have to either scan the library manually or wait for it to scan. If not, it's fine I can schedule the task to run more often. Just wondering if this function is supported on Windows machines/file systems across a network share. Thanks!
Tur0k 148 Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 (edited) I don’t think that feature works on SMB shared UNC paths. I ended up mounting the drives in NFS to get around the limitation and then added the UNC paths as an option in Emby. I will note I run Emby on Linux. You might try mapping the drive and then using the mapped drive file path instead of the UNC path. If that does not work NFS Configurations are possible in windows.
