BETA and STABLE - How well do they play together

First, I’d like to say THANK YOU to the Developers and to acknowledge all of the hard work in not only advancing the software, but also for being so active on the forum.  The direct line of communication is FANTASTIC!!!

 

My question is in determining which versions to use and how they play with each other.  If I am running a STABLE version of the server and have a BETA version of a client, is there any potential conflict?  When a BETA client is released, is there a possibility that it may have a dependence on code that may only be available in a BETA server?

 

I personally don’t mind having a BETA on my device, but putting the family on a BETA could become problematic.   I don’t want to set-up a complete server for only BETA testing, but would like to be able to assist in furthering the project where I am able.
