Emby TV - change user

I am using Emby for Tizen, and would like to see an easier way to change user. For reference see how it is done in Netflix app.

This could be done with showing a drop down menu with all users created, or a top menu "LogOut"

Also would like to see automatic log out when leaving the app.

Yes. Emby’s method of changing users has always been clunky and un user friendly.

Generally it logs out just fine when exiting apps depending on which app and the settings?

On Emby Theater you can choose to not remember you I believe?

On fire tv stick you can change the way it works in the settings: remembering the current user, a specific user or always going to login screen first.

 

As for logging out and switching to a different account it could be faster giving a direct link to the next account and only entering pass (if needed).

Currently it's only 3 or 4 clicks/swipes away though depending on what you use.

Yea we do have a log out button. It says sign out. Does that answer your question?

Hi,

99% of the time that I click on the profile icon in Emby it is to change user. But instead of tasking me to change user it takes me to the Home/Settings/Select Server/Sign Out screen.From here I have to sign out before signing in as a different user.

I have mocked up a Netflix style page that I think illustrates this feature request. This may not seem like a big deal, but removing the extra step just makes things more intuitive, Netflix got this right.

Hi, that's what we already do. It will remember the last server you connected to.

I am using the Tizen app and the web app.

It is mostly enoying on the Tizen app - many clicks to change user.

I wish whenever leaving the app for another source on the TV, the next time I start the app it should be back on the users screen

I'm not sure the app knows when that specifically happens but you could disable the "Remember me" checkbox on the login screen...

You might be right that the app can't sense that ...

To make me happy just add a shortcut at the top "change user" that takes me back to the login screen :-)
