Plex to Emby - Happy Camper, some questions

After struggling for years with Plex I finally transitioned the last few days from Plex Pass and bought the Emby Premiere Lifetime License.

The final push was that the ratings system on Plex is broken, but no support is forthcoming.

I am very happy with the result - Emby is the superior product.

A few observations:

Emby connect failed for me. I plugin the pin from the TV app (Emby on LG Web OS) on the connect  page and nothing happens. Saw on the forum that this is a common problem, and I saw no obvious solutions, just a bunch of nonsensical trial and error. Fortunately, the ip settings work fine, at home and on the road, except that I could only get the http on default port 8096 to work. Https on default port 8920 fails. The router is configured to port forward properly.

I would like a plugin like "Web to Plex" - to fully let go of Plex. Googled and searched the forum but could not find such a Google Chrome plugin for IMDB.

Is there such a thing?

Cheers.

Hi.  I don't think this really is a common problem considering how many people are using Connect every day.  Can you explain exactly what "nothing happened" means?  Are you sure you didn't get a little red message on the page after you entered the credentials and PIN?

Had you connected your ID to a user on your server?  What happened on the app that gave you the PIN?  Did you hit a "Next" button or did it do anything on its own?  Which app was it?
