NextPVR Plugin and R5000-HD

Has anyone gotten the NextPVr Plugin to work with NextCom's R5000-HD device?  I have the R5000 working in NextPVR but would like to integrate it into Emby for live TV and recording.  Can't find any documentation anywhere on making this work and wonder if it's even possible.  I'm going to dive into it but was wondering if anyone has ever gotten this setup to work.  Thank you.

Yes it does.  To work with NextPVR the R5000 has built-in support through a SageTV DVR application that functions as a network encoder.  NextPVR interfaces with that app to change channels and record the stream output by the R5000 to the location specified by NextPVR. The device works perfectly with SageTV but I'd really like to move to Emby if I can get this working.

Then I would think you should be able to import into Emby just the same as any other Next PVR tuner. @@arrbee99 can share his experience with importing next pvr.

As an ordinary user I can only suggest some stuff which you've probably tried already - 

 

For Live TV you need to buy Premiere - maybe try a months worth for $5 ?

 

Make sure you can play stuff in NextPVR, preferably the NextPVR app, unless you've done so already of course.

 

Check your versions, v4 NextPVR v4 requires the Emby NextPVR v4 plugin, which is in the plugin catalog, v5 requires the v5 plugin, which isn't, hopefully its here - https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/74439-nextpvr-v5-emby-plugin/ see post #1 and for me post #17.

 

I need to change the plugin base url from localhost:8866 to 192.168.whatever:8866 (same as 'In-Home (LAN) access' on the Emby server dashboard home page).

 

Refresh server, refresh guide, and hopefully, touch wood, with a following wind...

Still not any real progress.  When NextPVR is on a different server from the Emby server, is it neccessary to have the rcording directory as a shared folder between servers.  Can't figure out why no video is showing on Emby but works fine on the NextPVR app's screen.  Recordings initiated on NextPVR show up when I click on the NextPVR recordings icon, but nothing works using the EPG, either live TV or if I try to record even though I can see the R5000's channels in the EPG..
