jachin99 88 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 I'm currently using videoredo and vap for commercial removal and it works great for other DVRs. I have a scheduled task set to run each night that kicks off add removal and I'm really happy with the ads being removed while no one is using the PC. The one great downfall of my current setup is that I don't believe vap will monitor subfolders and emby seems to nest all of my recordings in subfolders. I have seen others mention mce buddy and I am wondering if that program will watch the subdirectories that emby creates. I don't want to use post processing scripts and I would prefer to have my ads cut while I sleep. I'll also need the new files to be nested into the proper folder structure for so emby picka the. up during it's nightly library scan. I have the paid version of comskip and I'm just looking for suggestions at this point
Luke 42086 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 You might be able to use mcebuddy to dump them all to an external folder then use the auto organize plugin to import them back in.
jachin99 88 Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 I tried out mcebuddy and it has an option to drop the new files into the same folder structure I use in emby. Each show will have duplicate season folders but emby picks up each folder and combines them correctly. Because I don't transcode the files I might be able to let mcebuddy just run in the background. This is really close and worked really well so it should work.
Q-Droid 989 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 You don't have to use a post processing script to remove the ads. Instead you can use one to build a list of files for the ad removal job to process.
