diaz1510 154 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 So I'm trying to auto-organize episode 1 and 2 of that new show "See"....but when it auto-organizes it tries to add it a show folder I already have called "When They See Us" and episode 1 and 2 already exist for that, so it shows up in blue text as being skipped. But when I try to hit the manual add button, it keeps telling me it wants to add it to the "When They See Us" show...I can't break the connection between the 2 shows to allow me to manually add it as a separate show... Any pointers? Thanks...
Luke 42081 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Hi there, please discuss the example in more detail. Thanks.
diaz1510 154 Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 (edited) Hmm...not sure how else to explain it... New show...title is "See". I do not have this show currently in my TV Show library. I download it and it goes into my Emby watched folder. Emby attempts to Auto-Organize, but the text shows up in Blue (as if skipping it because it thinks it already exists). It attempts to place it into a folder for a show I do currently have called "When They See Us". But since that show already has episode 1 and 2 of season 1, it thinks it already exists and skips auto-organize and places the text in blue... So, while it sits in the Auto-Organize tab, I select the manual identify folder icon, but then a pop up shows saying its trying to add it to the "When They See US" folder. So I am unable to manually identify the new show so that it will auto-organize. I attempted to manually create a folder in my TV Show directory with the title of the show and does library scan, but it will not show up in the drop down of available shows... Just guessing here, but maybe Emby doesn't like the short show title of "See" and its trying to be smart and connect it to a show with a longer name.... Edited November 1, 2019 by diaz1510

TV folders are tricky because the require a season sub-folder to be recognized as a Series folder. A empty Series folder looses its status as a Series. So does manually adding a Series folder named "See (2019)" with a Season 1 folder, then doing a library scan work? You should be able to use search and see this new series.

That did the trick...Just created that Season 01 folder and it shows up in Search, re-did an auto-organize and it put it in the right folder! Thanks!
