Echuir 2 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Since the Windows updates for October I have not been able to watch any of my Library. I noticed the big part of the Windows update was .NET related and this could be the reason. Do we have a work around for now since removing a Windows 10 update is near impossible without extensive computer knowledge? embyserver-63707817600.txt ffmpeg-directstream-4fb00441-89ac-47c9-a932-d11b4c081cdd_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-55852bde-4b2a-4aca-9527-5d97c99f232b_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-1b6fe9bf-db34-4b77-a658-d3d4cd1c42c7_1.txt Edited October 31, 2019 by Echuir
ebr 16182 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi. I would make sure you've fully completed the update as, if this were a general problem with that Windows update, we'd have a lot of people here with that problem. If you still have issues, please provide exact details. How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Echuir 2 Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) I have been trying to get the logs to upload but keep getting an error with the forum. I/O error on upload. Is there another way to send them. Nevermind I found that was a firefox issue, chrome didn't have an issue. Edited October 31, 2019 by Echuir
ebr 16182 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi. Are you sure your drives and network shares are setup properly still? Also, if that is a mapped network drive, I would change it to a UNC path because Windows will randomly disconnect mapped drives. file:E:\Videos\Movies\28 Days Later\28 Days Later.mkv: No such file or directory 1
ebr 16182 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Also, make sure the update didn't set your local network as "Public"... 1
Echuir 2 Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) The network is still the same I have unmounted and remounted the drive. I tried to set the path for "\\drobo5n\drobo5n\Videos\x" but it tells me not valid. Is that the correct format for that field? I got the drive to finally register in windows. I guess the update with windows broke networking for a bit. I did a full drive refresh with windows disk manager and that fixed the issue. Edited October 31, 2019 by Echuir
Echuir 2 Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 Yes it works in Windows Explorer. I think I found a fix that worked. I closed ally emby windows, then exited and closed the server. Then I opened disk manager and let it rescan for all drives. Then I unmounted the drive and restarted windows. After the restart I cleared my DNS cache and released the network IP. Then I renewed my IP address and remouted the drive. Now it is working. 1
