Ratatouille 14 Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 Got al kind of local client Samsung TV, LG TV, PC no problem but from the shield no way it cannot see my server locally witch is on a rockpro64 it might works from my remote address but I want to use it locally.
Ratatouille 14 Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) I finally succeed app is very buggy I had to use a keyboard to enter everything and this case the mouse is very useful to click on the right button, at some point I had to remove my server (emby connect issue)since it was not reachable but right after it asked for my user name and I was in businessSent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk Edited October 30, 2019 by Ratatouille
ebr 16184 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Hi. Yes, it sounds like you probably installed the wrong app. Please be sure you installed "Emby for Android TV".
Ratatouille 14 Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 I just double check, I got Emby for Android TV on the shield and Emby for Android on my phone. oh well!
ebr 16184 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Can you please explain exactly what you thought was "very buggy"? Thanks.
Ratatouille 14 Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 Can you please explain exactly what you thought was "very buggy"? Thanks. Well I was able to enter the server address but often when I was clicking "next" Instead to put me to the "port # "field, it went to the previous page, this is why I had to use a keyboard /mouse to click on the field above the virtual keyboard. Plus instead to keep my input when it was kicking me out to the previous page I had to reenter all the info again this why with the mouse is useful you have access to a copy paste menu Also but I think it is an Emby connect issue it could not find my server or was saying it was disconnected. . Any way never went to all this trouble with my other clients LG TV;SAmsung ;Firetv;PC theater or web browser
ebr 16184 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Hi. Yes, those on-screen keyboards with dialogs can be quite finicky. The older version of Android on the Fire devices handle it a lot better.
