No VPN here, and just windows defender on the widows 10 PC.

I'm having the same issue with the web installer, running Win10 1909 build 10.0.18363.476. Was a clean fresh install of Windows. Not running anything fancy.

 

I'm up and running with the manual zip installer provided on git.

I have the same Problem on different systems.

 

The installer is unable to get the URL:

 

https://api.github.com/repos/MediaBrowser/Emby.Theater.Windows/releases?v=637094980878617433

 

This URL creates an SSL error.

I have one system where the install works. Looked at differences.

All systems not working were Windows 10 1909. The system which works was Windows 10 1903.

 

I then upgraded the 1903 system to 1909 and the install failed immediately.

 

So there is some problem with the installer and Windows 10 1909.

The Installer for the emby Server however works fine under Windows 10 1909.

Same here, 1909 no issue installing Server, but ET errors out immediately.

Same here, no errors. It downloads/installs (just no progress bar).

 

Most likely unreleated...but i have no video overlays on the screen during playback. If i move the mouse to the area i know has a selection (like back) it turns into the "pointing hand" cursor and can be selected, but its not displaying any of the overlays.

I saw that page, but that's the only time you see any progress. Not that it's a big deal. As long as it installs correctly. But it gets stuck on no progress for a long time while it's downloading. I almost aborted the process, thinking it had failed.
