Richard Branches 330 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 (edited) I have two MKV videos with this file structure: HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd1.mkv HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd2.mkv They were in the root of a folder along other MKV videos but automatic playback of the dvd2 file didn't work as expected so I had to move them to its own sub-folder: HIStory on Film Volume II (1997) | |---->HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd1.mkv | |---->HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd2.mkv The dvd2 file started to play automatically on Android TV but there are other problems, I tested the web app and Android TV app, here's the results: Web App: - Playback didn't switch automatically to the dvd2 file, it just stops playback and marks dvd1 as "watched". - The dvd2 file can be selected in the video description but it's completely disconnected from dvd1, if I start playback of dvd2 file and stop it, I can resume later from where I left off but it doesn't affect the whole video state (resume button doesn't appear), both videos are not treated as a single video but like two separate videos. - Chapter section only shows thumbnails from dvd1. - The name of video in dvd1 on OSD appears correctly scrapped while the name of dvd2 doesn't keep the same information, for example, dvd1 appears as "Michael Jackson History" while dvd2 appears as "HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd2". Android TV: - Playback switched automatically to dvd2 file. - The dvd2 file cannot be selected in the video description, there is no way to star playback of it directly, not even in the chapter thumbnails, however, I had to select the last chapter of dvd1 which is a thumbnail with the message "End of side 1" in order to start playback of dvd2. - Chapter section only shows thumbnails from dvd1. - if I stop playback of dvd2, the "played" button gets marked as "watched". - The name of video in dvd1 on OSD appears correctly scrapped while the name of dvd2 doesn't keep the same information, for example, dvd1 appears as "Michael Jackson History" while dvd2 appears as "HIStory on Film Volume II (1997)-dvd2". I imagine both files must be linked together or get "concatenated" in order to play as a single one, also chapter section should display thumbnails for both in its corresponding order. Luke 42078 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Multi part files don't support all features yet. We'll get there, but for the best experience possible I would suggest joining the files.

Yeah, I joined the files using Mkvtoolnix and it plays every chapter in the correct order, I'll have to use it like this for the time being, thank you anyway.
