Wiki on Moving Emby server to New Windows Machine

I couldn't find a nice easy way to move my server to another machine can this be done simply or do I have to start from Scratch?

The easiest way is to simply move the entire emby server directory from one to another. Editing may be required depending on the network location of your libraries.

The simplest way is to shut down your old emby server, zip it, extract to new server and then install emby. It will launch and everything will be working unless you need to change paths in your libraries which will require a new scan.

 

Sure you can be selective with the backup but it's really not worth the hassle.

So the server back up tool does nothing finds the back and i click restore and it just goes back to the new server config

That's it the premiere key is needed, error message would be good

Yes we need to get a message in the plug-in.  I just edited the wiki page.
