Deihnyx 0 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Hello, It would be nice to be able to set the media playback settings (which is currently per user only) to be overridden per library. The use case: Encoding anime in 10 bits yields a much better result for posterity. But more often than not this format requires transcoding if you play it on a TV. Without disabling "allow video playback that requires conversation re-encoding" some media tends to be re-encoded even know they're compatible. It would be nice to have an option to avoid having to either turn this option on/off or manage different users. Thanks!
Deihnyx 0 Posted October 24, 2019 Author Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) The TV is a LG OLED so I'm using the official Emby app on it. Thanks Edited October 24, 2019 by Deihnyx
Luke 42077 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 @@Deihnyx Can we look at an example of something that is transcoding that you feel should not be?
KMBanana 116 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 I would use this for a 4k specific library that my server would not be able to handle transcoding.
