emby0804 0 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 The Emby app doesn't pass the "Starting Up" message unless the app is forced to close, then it loads OK once restarted. But when the app is opened again it won't load once more, unless it's forced to quit. Any ideas? Here are some details: Emby App version 1.4.2.24 en-GB Apple TV A1842 (64GB) running TVOS 13.0 Emby server version 4.2.1.0 running on Mac Mini (late 2014) macOS High Sierra
ebr 16169 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Hi. Can you try going into the settings in the app and setting the option to not login automatically - show login screen. Then re-start the app and log in. Then you can try setting the option to auto login again if you wish.
emby0804 0 Posted October 23, 2019 Author Posted October 23, 2019 Thanks for your reply. I have entered settings and selected the option "No, login each time". On startup the list of users is preseneted (5 users) and I can select any user but when I exit the app and restart it the "Starting Up" mesage is shown with the spinning symbol, and that's it. If I kill the app and restart it, all is OK. BTW, I have removed and reinstalled the app,. with no difference.
ebr 16169 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Hi. Exactly how are you exiting the app after logging in?
emby0804 0 Posted October 23, 2019 Author Posted October 23, 2019 I think you may have solved it by asking the question! I had always exited an app by pressing the menu button on the remote to get back to the home screen. If I press the Home button all is well. So, many thanks for your time, you have made an old man much happier!
ebr 16169 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Something is still not exactly right with that as you should never get stranded on that "starting up" screen but, I think, that may be something we've taken care of in the current beta. Thanks.
